Labor of Love

Food Drive in Support of the Backpacks Program at Timberline High School

We are conducting our 9th annual Labor of Love Food Drive starting the weekend of Friday, February 15th through Sunday, February 17th. The food drive supports homeless and low-income high school students at Timberline and other high schools by providing easy-to-prepare, non-perishable foods.

Here is how you can help:

Collect Food Donations from Walmart Neighborhood Market Patrons – Friday and Saturday, February 15th and 16th – Volunteer to man a shift during our Kickoff Weekend. You will ask customers for food donations to provide for homeless and low-income high school students with meals on weekends. This is a fun way to interact with people and results in a lot of food donations.

Help Sort Donations

Sunday, February 17th – Help us sort and store donations after the second service.

Early Support

Walmart is setting up a table between now and Feb 15 where you can purchase bags of food and donate them to the food drive. Bags are about $10-15 each. Consider shopping at the Walmart Neighborhood Market and purchase one.

Please get these dates on your calendar and help us make a difference in the lives of teenagers.

Contact Greg Volkhardt at 360-870-0292 if you have questions.
